It's common for a home to have a mirror in the entryway. This fixture allows you to check how you look before you leave in the morning, which can be handier than having to take a detour to look in the bathroom mirror. A fun idea for a cycling enthusiast is a bicycle tire mirror. Whether you make one yourself or find one to buy, this mirror is a perfect way to use an old bicycle tire. It essentially consists of a circular mirror with a bicycle tire mounted around the perimeter, and it will definitely be a unique piece in your home.

Bicycle Plant Stand

If you enjoy the visual beauty that living plants provide inside of your home, there's a better way to use them than just having them grow in pots placed on stands or on window ledges. Instead, consider using an old bicycle that has a handlebar basket and converting the basket into a pot for a plant. You can line the basket with a couple of layers of heavy plastic to retain moisture, and then fill this space with potting soil. You'll need someone to weld a mounting plate to the base of the handlebars, and you can then secure this apparatus to a wall stud, creating the perfect spot to hang your coats.
